Elfack 2025 is fully booked!
This year’s Elfack will be something special. The fair is fully booked, with over four hundred exhibitors showcasing the latest technologies.
The industry’s hottest issues are reflected in an extensive stage programme, a new strategy conference and a newly established energy prize, aimed directly at exhibitors.
— It’s a meeting place full of opportunities for everyone in the electricity and energy industry, with a focus on innovation and collaboration. You don’t want to miss this, says Anna Jarnö, Business Manager, Elfack.
Elfack is the largest trade fair in northern Europe for the electricity, energy and lighting industry. It takes place on 6-9 May at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg. The last fair, organised in 2023, was a tremendous success with 22,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors, including all the sector’s leading suppliers.
— For this year’s fair, we have added another hall so that Elfack now fills eight exhibition halls, Anna says.
— It is, of course, extremely gratifying that all the available exhibition space has already been booked four months before the fair opens. As far as I can see, this is quite unique and proof that our focus areas are spot-on.
Batteries and solar energy in focus
Electrification and the energy transition for greater sustainability will take centre-stage during the entire fair. Ten focus areas are highlighted to show the breadth of the event:
solar energy & solar panels – energy storage & batteries – electrical installation – e-mobility & charging infrastructure – digitalisation & AI – hydrogen & fuel cells – lighting technology – energy & building automation – security solutions – transmission, distribution & smart grids
In all these areas, there will be many new products from the industry’s leading players.
— We offer all exhibitors the opportunity to post interesting product news on our website. It is frequently updated, so a good tip is to orientate yourself there before coming to Elfack, Anna advises.
Best solutions award
A brand-new prize, the Swedish Energy Prize, established by the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and open to all exhibiting companies, is being introduced at this year’s fair.
— The award aims to recognise innovation in the electricity and energy sector. We want to help stimulate and accelerate the transition, and this is one way to do it, Anna says.
The jury consists of independent experts from some of the industry’s most influential organisations, such as Installatörsföretagen, Energieffektiviseringsföretagen, Energimyndigheten, Chalmers University and EIT InnoEnergy.
Interest in participating in this year’s programme is breaking all records. More than one hundred programme items will be presented at Elfack, on two open stages, the Innovation Stage and the Tech Stage. The programme is based on the focus areas:
— There are constantly new directives and solutions that you need to be aware of when you work in this industry, Anna says. The programme is free of charge and truly offers something for everyone.
To help you find what you’re looking for and not miss out on the things that interest you most, there is a search function on the website where you can filter by day and focus area.
New conference provides guidance
The accelerating pace of technological development is placing new demands on all participants in the sector. To provide greater insight into the challenges and opportunities, this year’s Elfack is offering a new strategy conference, Update by Elfack, focused on electrical installation and energy respectively.
One of the speakers in the programme is Jonas Tannerstad, Head of Electrical Automation at Örebro Bostäder (the housing programme of the city of Örebro). He will talk about the importance of innovative technologies, new regulations and the organisational structures needed to realise the energy potential of buildings and neighbourhoods. A revolution is underway in some of Sweden’s neighbourhoods!
Career and skills days throughout the fair week
Another important initiative concerns skills supply in the sector. Elfack is inviting both high school classes and career changers to visit.
— Together with industry stakeholders, we offer a concept that highlights different development opportunities in the sector. We hope that specially designed seminars and activities will attract even more high school, college and university students to Elfack, Anna says.
— We want to give them a positive image of the industry. And we hope this will make it easier for employers to connect with their future employees, Anna Jarnö concludes.
