Record-breaking Elfack brings the industry together for the future of energy and electrification

Elfack 2025 is more relevant than ever. With record numbers of exhibitors and visitors, an exhibition floor buzzing with energy, and a strong focus on innovation and sustainable transition, the fair has once again cemented its position as Northern Europe’s leading meeting place for electricity, energy and lighting.

– The atmosphere and energy on the exhibition floor this year has been fantastic. Elfack is an open, friendly and transparent meeting place where exhibitors and visitors really enjoy themselves. It’s where we highlight issues and challenges that affect society as a whole, from municipalities and industries to private individuals. This year’s record number of visitors proves once again that Elfack is the most important arena for this highly socially critical industry, says Anna Jarnö, Business Manager at Elfack.

With 23,456 visitors and nearly 420 exhibitors from 28 countries, Elfack once again brought the industry together on the exhibition floor. Decision-makers, technology developers and the talents of the future met in the eight exhibition halls to discover solutions that drive social development forward.

– There was a record number of companies in the lighting technology sector, and more companies have returned to Elfack with successful ventures. The impression is that this year’s Elfack has had a forward-looking focus on innovation and the transition to sustainability, says Anna Jarnö.

– The best thing about Elfack is that the entire industry is gathered here. It was really buzzing on the floor! We met industry colleagues and lots of existing and potential new customers, says Alexandra Mårtensson, Marketing Manager at NKT Sweden AB, which exhibited at Elfack 2025.

High level of knowledge and quality at Elfack 2025

Influenced by its ten focus areas, the stage programme was a clearly appreciated part of the fair. Networking breakfasts were interspersed with panel discussions, seminars and live podcasts. The programme covered everything from niche electrical topics to sustainable energy transition, regulations and skills development.

– One thing that has been very clear this year is the level of knowledge and commitment among visitors. Elfack visitors are of a high calibre – they know what they want, participate in sessions from the stage programme that interest them and have fruitful meetings. It’s fantastic to see, says Anna Jarnö.

Elfack 2025 was characterised by maturity and cooperation. The industry is undergoing rapid change and transformation, but it was clear during the fair that the time for action is now. Sustainability, electrification and digitalisation are high on the agenda as enablers for both business and the energy transition.

New initiatives – boosting the industry’s development

Several changes and premieres could be experienced at this year’s Elfack. For the first time, the venue was open to student visits every day.

– Opening the doors to students throughout the entire fair is an important change. They will be better received by the industry and get a stronger first impression. The electrical and energy industry is an enormously important industry for the future. Attracting young people is absolutely crucial, says Anna Jarnö.

– There is a clear need for a trade fair like Elfack. We have met everyone from installers to university students. It is important to inspire the next generation, says Johanna Strunke, marketing manager at Signify, which exhibited at Elfack 2025.

The Swedish Energy Award also made its debut at Elfack. The winner of the jury’s award for 2025 was Hitachi Energy for its Hyflex™ hydrogen generator. The visitors’ award was won by dLab and its platform for power grid analysis. In addition, the jury awarded an honourable mention to Amiga for its circular solution Amiga Reuse.
