Lighting sector presence stronger than ever at Elfack

In the buzz of the exhibition hall, we meet with Johanna Strunke, Marketing Manager at Signify Sweden. She works within the field of professional lighting – an area undergoing rapid transformation. “We have several business segments, but my focus is on business-to-business,” Johanna explains. She shares how Signify continuously drives innovation and sustainability to meet emerging needs, and why the company invests heavily in Elfack.

What has been the best part of participating at Elfack this year?

“Since Elfack only takes place every other year, we have plenty of time to plan and refine our presence. This year, I’m particularly pleased that there is a record number of lighting companies here – a full 82 exhibitors! You’ve done an amazing job bringing the industry together.

We’re also very proud of our partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, which we launched in July. Together, we’re driving innovation and sustainability forward – both in lighting and in how the team operates. We have already installed our lighting on the team’s trucks in Singapore and Las Vegas, where it plays a crucial role during night races by ensuring visibility and safety. And the fact that we’ve brought one of their cars here – for the first time in Europe – is something we’re incredibly proud of. It has definitely become a major crowd magnet!”

How has the visitor interest been so far?

“It’s been fantastic! Everyone is very interested, polite, and curious. Yesterday we had a lot of visitors, and today I believe there are even more. This clearly shows the strong need for a fair like Elfack. We’ve seen everything from schools – like Jönköping University with a focus on lighting – to installers, electricians, and younger visitors. Inspiring the next generation is important. And you’ve ordered incredible weather too – that certainly helps!”

Would you recommend other companies to exhibit at Elfack?

“Absolutely! Elfack is an outstanding meeting place. Everything runs so smoothly – logistics, the program, the seminars. The older you get, the more you appreciate when things simply work, and that is definitely the case here. Where else could you meet so many industry professionals at once?”
