Acute skills shortage in the electricity and energy sector

ELFACK is Northern Europe’s largest trade fair for electricity, energy and lighting. Together with several partners, it is now offering a full day on skills supply. The aim is to give students and professionals a solid introduction to the industry and show them the various roles and opportunities in the sector.

On 12 May 2023, ELFACK will offer a number of activities such as introductory lectures, technology walks, competitions and special events aimed at attracting more women to the industry. In addition, there will be an open stage programme with deep dives into the fair’s ten product areas.

The introduction day is aimed at vocational teachers and students in the following school courses and programmes:

Secondary school programmes, grades 2 and 3

  • Electricity and energy
  • Science
  • Technology

 

Polytechnic students, including:

  • Electricity and automation
  • Electrical power engineers
  • Electrical engineers
  • Electrical installers
  • Electrical designers
  • Solar energy technicians

 

Vocational training

  • Electricity and energy

 

Registration

Elfack is open to trade visitors only, lower age limit 16 years. Secondary schools should register by class with their teachers. Registration opens here starting in February 2023.
